The Knitting Nest, contacted me through Stacy about setting up a gay-friendly men's knitting group for the Austin area. Stacy knew that I and a few other customers had been talking about doing something like this for a while. We contacted some people we know, and we're planning on having our first get-together at The Knitting Nest this Sunday, August 1st from 2-4pm. Nothing formal -- just show up! If you know someone who might be interested, let him know.
As an adjunct to this effort, we started a group in Ravelry,
Guys in Austin with Yarn (get it?) Please feel free to join -- being careful not to twist! And if you know of anyone who might be interested, pass the word along.
